A Fun, Just Beacause...

I made this card just for fun out of the scraps from my Spring kite card, that won over at Party Time Tuesdays! I'm so thankful for my win and thank the entire team at Party Time Tuesdays. I also want to thank Susan at Cricut and Grasshopper for offering some blog candy that I was fortunate to win also. I don't care what kind of day I had prior, but it's now a great day! I also want to thank all the visitors I had over the weekend for Carson's Creations Blog Hop. I now have over 20 new followers and a pile of great comments to my post. I will choose a winner tomorrow evening for my giveaway; leaving another day to enter. To everyone thank you, thank you, thank you!

My card was created using Cricut cartridge Create a Critter and Flower Shoppe. The paper is digital paper from Babapuff. I'm always cutting extras here and there and this is something I made from scraps from my Spring card.

Spring Thank You!

I have some thank yous that I would like to mention. My first 2 are for awards given to me from other bloggers. Jessica at Craftin' and Stampin' awarded me the  Liebster Blog award. This is an honour I have already received but am more than happy to be acknowledged again by a wonderful blogger. 

The second award is from Georgiana at Carson's Creations who passed on The Versatile Blogger award to me. 

I do want to come back to this one and properly accept and pass it on. I will post this one another day. I do want to thank both Jessica and Georgiana for thinking of me and passing along this honour.

On to my card and two others I would like to thank. I have recently been the recipient of two prizes. Two wonderful stamp sets from Cathie at Cricut Creative Cutter Room . I used the set on this card. Keep in mind I didn't do this properly; I added the stamp after I popdotted , so I didn't get a good stamp. Second I won a great prize from some one who inspires me (and now I have one of her secrets) Rebekah at Tangle's Treasures. I won a $20 gift card for Babapuff, where I got some digital papers that I printed and also used in my card. Thank you both and now for my card.

Easter Chick!

First off thank you for your concern in regards to my lack of power situation. Power was restored late the following morning. Turned out to be a short in a light switch. 

I have been slacking off lately, and because I tried and failed to make a St. Patrick's Day card, I moved to the next holiday Easter! I made a simple card, using a sketch from 4 Crafty  Chicks challenge, that I missed because I didn't want to take pictures two nights ago. I used the chick cut from Create a Critter and flowers from Flower Shoppe. I found this stamp in the dollar bin at Micheal's. Here is my creation followed by the sketch and then some challenges I happen to meet the requirements for.

I've been challenged!

I decided to challenge myself, and participate in three different challenges. My blog traffic has slowed, since the holidays, so I'm hoping to get more views and more followers. I love creating, but I have a style and cuts that I like, so I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and join some challenges that I may not have considered. I hope you enjoy what I have done, and because I'm new I have little to offer as far as give a ways. I have added some adds to my blog that I hope will generate a bit of money to help get some giveaways happening in the near future. Bitten by the Bug 2 - Caterpillar

This challenge was to make a project using a caterpillar cut. I normally wouldn't use the caterpillar from 'Create a Critter', but that was the challenge. I tried to come up with some thing cute; so I thought of this concept. Some dreams don't always come true, but for this little guy I think he has chosen an obtainable goal.

I used the following Cricut Cartridges on this project:

Create a Critter - Caterpillar and the Thought Bubble.
Sentimentals - Background Marquee and the Butterfly


Fantabulous Cricut - #93 Man Time

The objective was to "Create a Masculine Project". This one took a lot of thinking. I have very few cartridges with cuts geared towards guys. I don't do sports or tools, so I had little to go on. I do however like animals and so that's what I went with. I chose a animal that I thought was on the masculine side; a Wolf, from 'Noah's ABC Animals'. I made a bit of a scene with the help of 'Plantin Schoolbook'. I think this card came out a bit flat, so I added stars and am still trying to think of something else, maybe add something to the moon.

• The challenge was to make a Tag using Winter Frolic.

I don't have that cartridge so I improvised.

Another Birthday, Another Cow?

So this has become my standard, as far a birthday cards go. Ask the person their favorite animal and then their favorite color and throw it all into a card. I was going to enter this in Cardz TV Challenge #1 - "Just My Style"  but I was a day late.
I must say I was shocked to have another cow card so soon. I didn't know cows were all that popular.

This card was made with Cricut - Create a Critter and a stamp form Micheal's.

Happy Birthday Sis'

My sisters though NOT twins share a birthday. I have made each their own card with their favorite colour and animal. Enjoy!

This one is for the older of the two, Jen. She likes cows and pink. I used Create a Critter for the cow and milk. The paper is DCWV - Street Lace.

Emily the youngest of all of us kids, loves polar bears! I didn't have a bear cut out that I liked, so I used a calender that I bought her but never ended up giving her for the image. She likes blue, fitting for a polar bear card I think. I used my favorite Argyle card from Wild Card, and Damask Decor, for the scallop around the image. All stamps are from Micheal's.

Birthday Card

I would like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who has visited my blog. I know there isn’t much to see, but I will keep working on it. I would also like to thank my first followers. I appreciate your time and early commitment.

On to the card! I was asked to make a birthday card for someone who likes blue, and is fond of elephants. After going through the cartridges I do have, I came up with this cute card.

The elephant from Create a Critter.
The balloon is from Once upon a princess.

The ribbon is from a 24 pack I picked up at Winners. The punch is EK. Both stamps are from Michael’s discount bin.

I don’t know the recipient of this card but I hope they like it.
