Valentines Cards #2

I had set out to make two of the same valentines, but I jumped in feet first and put pop dots before I should have. I wanted to join the Tip Top Tuesday Challenge #68, which gave a choice of two sketches. I immediately had an idea for the second, and so I went to work. I didn't lay things out first, so I found as I was putting things together that I didn't have enough room for my sentiment. I changed the layout so it worked. In the end I ended up with two similar looks but different. As it turns out now that I'm getting ready to post, my idea wasn't so original. I see that others have posted similar cards. I am still submitting the first card of the two to this challenge.

Enjoy,

Colin

  3. Hi Colin,
Fantastic renditions of this sketch! The bold love is perfect on your first one and the addition of the buttons just adds that extra pop. Beautifully done. As for the second one.... just as wonderful and so very unique with the vertical ribbon! Great idea letting it flow off the top of the card. :)
So glad you played along with our challenge at Top Tip Tuesday!
Good luck to you and have a great weekend.
    High fives,

  4. Both cards are great! I don't know which I like better, I really like the buttons and the way 'love' is across the bottom on the one card, but I also love the ribbon with 'love' on top too. Thanks for joining the Sketch Challenge at Top Tip Tuesday.

  6. Gorgeous cards Colin - I think very often our 'not-quite-as-we-planned' creations turn into something we think should have been the first idea - mine do anyway ;)
Beautifully placed hearts and I love the buttons you've added too - Gorgeous!
